IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Before placing your order, please make sure a 26T HIAB vehicle will be able to come down your road and will have enough space outside your property to deliver kerbside. The order will be removed from the vehicle via a crane which is positioned on the vehicle, behind the cab.

 

Order Confirmation

When we receive your order, we provide you with a confirmation to your email. In addition, when you receive your order confirmation we have pre-authorised your payment method. We check with our warehouse or suppliers to make sure that your desired item is available to be despatched within the time frame stated on the product page. In the event that your items are unavailable, we remove the pre-authorisation from your credit card and send you an email informing you of our actions.

 

How will my order be delivered?

All orders will be delivered using the fastest, safest, and most reliable methods. Once we process your payment, we will pass your details onto Powersheds, as they will be dispatching your log cabin, gazebo or pergola directly from their warehouse. They will contact you to arrange a delivery date with you.

 

You order will be delivered kerbside on a 26T HIAB vehicle using a crane which is positioned on the vehicle, behind the cab. You will be sent details about this vehicle and the delivery procedure but if there are access problems, it is unlikely we will be able to deliver the log cabin/gazebo/pergola on anything smaller. If access is an issue we can take it as close as the vehicle can get to but you may have to take it the rest of the way.

If we are unable to deliver a log cabin, gazebo or pergola due to access issues not advised or if the you are not in when we attempt to deliver, re-delivery charges may apply. 

 

Where does mygardenbuildings.co.uk deliver?

 

Delivery is free to mainland UK. However, a number of postcodes may come with an extended lead time. These postcodes include AB, DD, EX, FK, IV, KW, KY, PA, PL, PH, SA, TQ, TR. We are not offering delivery to Northern Ireland or Republic of Ireland at this time.

Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation
The words of which the initial letter is capitalised have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

Definitions
For the purposes of this Return and Refund Policy:

  • Company (referred to as either "the Company", "We", "Us" or "Our" in this Agreement) refers to Rexterior Collective Limited, 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, WC1N 3AX, United Kingdom.
  • Goods refer to the items offered for sale on the Service.
  • Orders mean a request by You to purchase Goods from Us.
  • Service refers to the Website.
  • Website refers to My Garden Buildings, accessible from mygardenbuildings.co.uk
  • You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.


Your Order Cancellation Rights

You are entitled to cancel Your Order within 14 days without giving any reason for doing so.

The deadline for cancelling an Order is 14 days from the date on which You received the Goods or on which a third party you have appointed, who is not the carrier, takes possession of the product delivered.

In order to exercise Your right of cancellation, You must inform Us of your decision by means of a clear statement. You can inform us of your decision by:

We will reimburse You no later than 14 days from the day on which We receive the returned Goods. We will use the same means of payment as You used for the Order, and You will not incur any fees for such reimbursement. When a refund has been initiated, it takes on average 3-5 business days, though in some cases it may take up to 2 weeks.


Conditions for Returns

In order for the Goods to be eligible for a return, please make sure that:

  • The Goods were purchased in the last 14 days
  • The Goods are in the original packaging
  • The Goods were not used or damaged

The following Goods cannot be returned:

  • The supply of Goods made to Your specifications or clearly personalised.
  • The supply of Goods which according to their nature are not suitable to be returned, deteriorate rapidly or where the date of expiry is over.
  • The supply of Goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons and were unsealed after delivery.
  • The supply of Goods which are, after delivery, according to their nature, inseparably mixed with other items.

We reserve the right to refuse returns of any merchandise that does not meet the above return conditions in our sole discretion.


Returning Goods

Goods that need to be collected from you are free to return if they’re damaged or faulty. If not, You are responsible for the cost and risk of returning the Goods to Us.

The team will guide you through the process and provide you with the appropriate return address.

We cannot be held responsible for Goods damaged or lost in return shipment. Therefore, We recommend an insured and trackable mail service. We are unable to issue a refund without actual receipt of the Goods or proof of received return delivery.

Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you wish to exchange the product for another one, the same return conditions apply.

Once the original product is received and inspected, the replacement product will be shipped. If there's a price difference, necessary adjustments will be made.

Gifts
If the Goods were marked as a gift when purchased and then shipped directly to you, You'll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned product is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to You.

If the Goods weren't marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give it to You later, We will send the refund to the gift giver.


Report Damage or Defect

We know how frustrating a damaged or defective item can be, if you have received a damaged delivery of Goods, please notify us immediately for assistance.

If your item is faulty or defective, we will be sure to get a resolution for you and ask that you report any issues within 30 days of the delivery date. To ensure we make your order right, we may require a photo(s) of the item and/or for the original item to be returned when providing a resolution.

At times, our manufacturers are best suited to support your inquiries, so we may connect you directly with them to ensure you get the best fit resolution in a timely manner. When this happens, although you will be working directly with the manufacturer, we will monitor your resolution progress and step in if at any point they are unable to provide a satisfactory answer or do not respond within two business days.

If it has been more than 30 days since the date of delivery but the item has an eligible manufacturer's warranty or protection plan, please contact us for a resolution.

RANGE SPECIFIC TERMS: POWERSHEDS

Powersheds Log Cabins, Pergolas and Gazebos:

If Powersheds is not for you and you’d like to return your log cabin, pergola or gazebo within 14 days of delivery then we will collect the item from you. There may be a charge to collect the log cabin. All we ask is that you do not unpack the log cabin.

If you have unpacked the cabin, pergola or gazebo- you can still return the product to us providing it has not been installed and is within 14 days of delivery, but you will have to cover the cost of returning the item and re-packing it. This will either need to be arranging the delivery yourself (to Powersheds manufacturing unit in West Yorkshire) or repacking and securing the goods and we may be able to arrange a collection for you. The cost of this will depend on your location and the item bought – please contact us if you would like us to advise the cost of this. In this case, we will not profit from any courier charges but simply pass on the cost we receive to you.

Any delivery surcharges you have paid (such as a quicker delivery) will not be refunded.

We will not accept a return for a bespoke log cabin unless it is damaged or faulty (and in that case, we will offer replacement components).

Once your item has been returned it will be checked to ensure it is complete and in a re-sellable condition. If we deem that the product is not in a re-sellable condition, we shall deduct a reasonable amount to cover any costs to use or return them to you.

Where a refund is to be paid, we will usually refund any money received from you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase.


Powersheds Accessories:

If Powersheds is not for you and you’d like to return your accessory within 14 days of delivery then we will collect the item from you. If your goods are palletised, please follow the return process for sheds and decking kits.

If your order is shipped via a small goods courier, you will need to re-pack the goods and send us a photo of the pack and the dimensions so we can book a collection for you.


Replacement Parts:

Whilst instances are rare, we do understand that damages in transit can happen from time to time. For this reason, we are happy to offer a replacement parts service.

If your order arrives with any damage, we will advise you to unpack the pallet/pack and use the components checklist to confirm all the goods are accounted for and take photos of each component which has any damage. This information will then need to be sent to our customer service team at sales@mygardenbuildings.co.uk who will then contact you to discuss the damage further and where required, arrange for replacement parts to be despatched.

Once the confirmation of required replacement parts is confirmed by both parties, we can then arrange for the goods to be despatched. Any shed or decking components can usually be despatched within 1-3 working days. Depending on the size of the damaged/missing component, this will determine if the goods can be delivered via a small goods courier or if another palletised delivery is required. For any log cabin replacements, where possible we will look to courier them however larger components will need to be scheduled and delivered by the courier and may take several weeks to arrive.

Please note, that damages, issues or missing parts must be reported to us within 30 days of receiving delivery. All issues need to be reported prior to installation. Any reports received outside this time will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Key terms and conditions

  • Guarantee applies to Powersheds Log Cabins purchased in the UK only;
  • The product must be used with a suitable base – all log cabins need to be installed on a suitable firm and level base;
  • The log cabins must be treated immediately after installation with a high-quality wood preserver as per the maintenance advice (internally and externally), and annually thereafter;
  • uPVC Doors and Windows, and EPDM roofing are subject to the supplier's guarantee terms.
  • Airflow is important to both the longevity and overall comfort inside of your building, especially in the colder months. Proper airflow is required to prevent condensation, mildew and spores. Ensuring the building is kept ventilated, Look to add external ventilation, as well as keeping the door open when possible to help dry out the building.

 

Full terms and conditions

  • This guarantee applies only to Powersheds Log Cabin purchased from mygardenbuildings.co.uk as an authorised approved retailer. If the item has been transferred from the customer to another individual or third party then the guarantee becomes invalid;
  • This Guarantee applies to each and every Powersheds Log Cabin purchased in the UK only, and not to any other products purchased from My Garden Buildings;
  • Any claim must be submitted in writing by the original purchaser to the supplying retailer (My Garden Buildings) within one month of the apparent defect becoming evident;
  • Under the law, the Contract of Sale exists between the retailer and the consumer. Consequently, any claims made under this guarantee must be made through My Garden Buildings (the retailer) from whom the log cabin was purchased. If we go out of business, please contact Powersheds on 01274036577;
  • The claim must be supported by proof of purchase – original email confirmation or sales receipt;
  • If the product in question has been discontinued and cannot be repaired then Powersheds reserves the right to supply an equivalent alternative.
  • We reserve the right not to honour claims under this Guarantee at our discretion, in any circumstances, which include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • (a) the fault complained of relates to normal natural timber movement, maturing, or changes in appearance, including movement, warping, splitting, or appearance of knot holes or natural splits. This will not affect the structural integrity of the building and is therefore not covered by a guarantee;
    • (b) the fault complained of is normal wear and tear which could reasonably be expected to result from the log cabin being used in accordance with our instructions;
    • (c) the fault is the result of any kind of accident, abuse, negligence or wilful damage whether by you or any other person, animal, weather event or otherwise;
    • (d) the fault is the result of a force majeure event or act of nature beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to fires, floods or natural disasters;
    • (e) where you attempt to alter or repair the log cabin (aside from applying preservers or Powersheds approved recommended extras such as shelving) without our approval, consent or instruction;
    • (f) Powershed's installation instructions have not been followed;
    • (g) the product has not been used with a suitable base – log cabins need to be installed on a suitable firm and level base;
    • (h) the product has not been treated immediately after assembly and annually thereafter, with a high-quality wood preserver as per the maintenance advice;
    • (j) the product has come into contact with any trees or exterior walls which could allow moisture to penetrate the timber;
    • (k) the EPDM has been damaged or incorrectly fitted allowing water ingress

     

  • Following an approved repair, the guarantee will remain valid from the date of the original purchase;
  • Upon seeking to claim under this Guarantee, Powersheds may require you to supply photographs of the entire log cabin and any visible fault. These photographs will be used to, in part, to determine whether a replacement is necessary. Powersheds is the sole arbiter of whether the timber is faulty and qualifies for a replacement or repair under this Guarantee. Failure to send sufficient quality or quantity of photographs of the fault where Powersheds has required you to supply same may result in a replacement or repair being delayed or the shed not being replaced;
  • This Guarantee is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights in relation to defective products as set out in clause 11 of our Terms, the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and any other relevant consumer protection legislation from time to time in force in the UK;
  • This guarantee is not transferable. The terms of this guarantee are governed by English Law.

 

uPVC Doors and Windows Guarantee

  • The manufacturers' policy is one of continuous development and improvement and accordingly, we reserve the right to alter specifications without prior notice.
  • To the best of our knowledge, this product was in perfect condition when it left our factory. Please ensure you examine it before installation and check the quality, accuracy of the components and quantity of the contents. Failure to do so may hinder our ability to assist.
  • Customers should note that claims for damage to glass, finish or shortages must be submitted to the vendor before installation or booking any tradesman. The manufacturer also reserves the right to disallow claims once the product has been installed. Failure to follow the recommendations set out in these instructions or to install in a manner not approved by the manufacturer may result in all or part of the product guarantee being null or void. This product is guaranteed by the manufacturer for a period of 10 years from the date of purchase and no other proposal or statement by any other party will supersede or complement this offer. Should any part of it become defective due to faulty manufacture or materials, it will be replaced free of charge (supply only, no fitting costs will be covered). Any parts supplied will have a guarantee term for the remaining period of the initial product guarantee stated previously. The product is not guaranteed against conditions of use or misuse. The 10-year guarantee is applicable to the frame and a 1-year guarantee is applicable to all hardware/moving parts. All window and door hardware should be maintained by the customer every three months using a 3-in-1 spray oil (not WD40) to the moveable and mechanical parts. A 10-year guarantee also applies to the glass units and hardware. When measuring all aspects of the quality of glass please follow the Glass and Glazing Federation guidelines.
  • The guarantee does not cover glass breakage however caused, or any fault arising from incorrect installation. Any replacement parts supplied, including assemblies, or completed products, are for DIY installation and no claim can be accepted for any costs however incurred for the installation of the replacement items.
  • This guarantee is offered as an extra benefit and is in addition to and does not affect your statutory rights. Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase.

Product After Care

  • Leave enough space around the cabin for treatment and maintenance.

  • Treat your log cabin with a high-quality wood preserver after assembly. Apply thick coats, focusing on the bottom logs and joints. Re-treat the cabin annually.

  • If you wish to treat your log cabin with a paint, you may want to use a clear preserver as well as the paint.

  • Make sure there's no debris buildup on the roof and no branches touching the felt to prevent damage and water issues.

FAQs

What should the log cabin go on?

All log cabins must be assembled on a firm and level base to ensure a solid foundation and longevity. Without it, the cabin may become misaligned, causing issues with doors and the roof. (The log cabin comes with a floor & joists, but not a firm and level base.)

Can I insulate the log cabin?

We don't offer insulation services but our 44mm thick timber log cabins provide natural insulation. If you want additional insulation, customers can add their own insulation, by adding insulating foam boards beneath roof boards or between floor bearers but this may affect your 10-year guarantee eligibility. Read the guarantee terms and contact POWERSHEDS before making any changes.

Can I install electrics in the log cabin?

We do know that some customers may choose to install electrics in log cabin. This is not something we can advise on, and due the risk of fire hazards we recommend seeking a professional to advise and assist in this process.

Installing electrics may affect your 10-year guarantee eligibility. Read the guarantee terms and contact POWERSHEDS before making any changes.

Has the timber been treated?

The log cabins come untreated, apart from the pressure-treated floor bearers so you will need to treat the rest of the log cabin. It's best to treat the cabin after assembly because treating prior to assembly may cause them not to fit correctly as it can cause the timber to expand. However, it is okay to treat the pressure-treated bearers, floor, and roof boards before installation (making it easier to maintain the building in the long run.)

After assembly, you will need treat the rest of the wooden components inside and outside of the log cabin using any high-quality, oil or solvent-based preserver to maintain the 10 Year Guarantee on the timber.

We recommend a well-known brand such as Protek and provide a free, 5L container of Protek Wood Preserver ++ with every log cabin to get you started! You may require more than this for your log cabin.How much preserver you will need will depend on the size of your cabin, the preserver used, the method of application and the number of coats applied. Always refer to the suppliers’ directions on usage when assessing how much preserver you will need.

How should I maintain the log cabin?

  • Leave enough space around the cabin for treatment and maintenance.

  • Treat your log cabin with a high-quality wood preserver after assembly. Apply thick coats, focusing on the bottom logs and joints. Re-treat the cabin annually.

  • Make sure there's no debris buildup on the roof and no branches touching the felt to prevent damage and water issues.

How long will it take for me install the log cabin?

The installation time depends on the number and experience of people helping and the size of the log cabin. With a team of two with limited-no experience, it may take around 6-8 hours. Do the log cabins have guttering?

The cabins come with uPVC Gutter Drip Plate, which is a two-part accessory attached to the flat edge of the roof which creates an angle to direct the water off on your log cabin. (The Drip Plate supplier provides a video on how to fit them to your roof.) These work well with guttering, but we do not supply guttering.

How thick is the wood?

The log cabin is built with interlocking logs with double tongue and groove, available in 44mm thickness however if you are looking for a log cabin with 28mm thickness- please view our website:)
